Club - An Intro

The Farming Club of our college is a new initiative formed to promote awareness, knowledge, and practical skills in agriculture and sustainable farming practices. The club aims to reconnect students with nature and educate them about the importance of agriculture in ensuring food security and environmental sustainability. The club serves as a platform where students can learn modern and traditional farming techniques, understand agricultural challenges, and actively participate in farming-related activities within the campus and community.

Aim of the Club:

To create awareness among students about agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and the importance of food production while encouraging hands-on learning and environmental responsibility.

Objectives:

  • To educate students about modern and traditional agricultural practices.
  • To promote organic farming and natural fertilizers.
  • To develop a college campus garden or model farm.
  • To encourage waste management through composting.
  • To create awareness about water conservation and soil health.
  • To conduct workshops, seminars, and training programs on agriculture.
  • To collaborate with local farmers and agricultural experts.

Types of activities under this club:

Developing and maintaining a college garden or farm plot.

Organizing tree plantation drives

Compost preparation from campus organic waste.

Growing seasonal vegetables and fruits.

Field visits to nearby farms.

Guest lectures by agricultural experts.

Conducting competitions like "Best Plant Grower."

Awareness campaigns on organic farming.
