Established under the Christian Educational Development Trust and the visionary leadership of Dr. T. Arangannal and Mrs. P. Malaleena, GEI has grown into a premier educational hub in Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu.
Established in 2006, Gnanamani College of Technology (GCT) was founded by the Christian Educational Development Trust with the vision of providing quality technical education and fostering innovation, research, and professional excellence. Over the years, GCT has evolved into a reputed institution offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supported by modern infrastructure, experienced faculty, industry collaborations, and a strong placement ecosystem.

Launch of Gnanamani College of Engineering and Gnanamani Institute of Management Studies.
GCT secured 6th Rank among Top Emerging Engineering Colleges in India by Silicon India.
Secured 33rd Rank among Top MCA colleges in India.
Received the Educational Excellence Award in Engineering from the Indus Foundation, USA.
Awarded the India Education Excellence Award for Best Engineering Institute with Excellent Facilities and Pedagogy in Tamil Nadu.
Recognized as the Most Promising Engineering College with Excellent Industry Interface in Tamil Nadu.
Received the International Leadership Award – Most Promising Engineering College with Placement of the Year in Tamil Nadu.
Honored with the National Award for Excellence in CSR.
Received the Educational Excellence Award and Excellent Institution in Professional Development Award in Malaysia.
NBA Accreditation Process: Pre-qualifier uploaded on Sept 24, 2018. Following a peer team campus visit (July 19–21, 2019), official NBA Accreditation Approval was granted for core departments: CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical Engineering.
Successfully participated and submitted institutional data for the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) on Feb 4, 2020.
Academic expansion with the introduction of 5 New Cutting-Edge UG Courses: Agricultural Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Robotics & Automation.
GCT achieved NAAC accreditation with a commendable CGPA of 3.05 on a four-point scale, earning a prestigious 'A' grade (valid through February 21, 2027).
Granted Official Autonomous Status! Gnanamani College of Technology transitioned into an autonomous institution, gaining full academic independence to design industry-aligned curricula.
GCT recognized among the Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India by Higher Education Review.
Strengthened industry partnerships through strategic initiatives, including the TCS iON MoU, entrepreneurship programs, innovation activities, and advanced AI-based projects.
