Ph.D. scholars can utilize the institution's lab facilities for their research and experiments

The central library of Gnanamani College of Technology houses approximately 40,000+ volumes of technical books, magazines, and journals.

The digital library provides researchers with access to scientific and research articles globally via the World Wide Web. Open access to research platforms like IEEE and the British Council is also available.

The campus is equipped with 24-hour high-speed Wi-Fi, accessible throughout the premises, enabling seamless research activities at any time.

The institution will provide the necessary space and Financial support for startup initiatives.

Institution has three R&D Centres and eminent Research supervisors, recognized by Anna University, Chennai.

Academic Research

The institution actively promotes academic research as a core component of teaching and learning, encouraging both faculty and students to engage in scholarly activities.

Contributions

The institution will provide necessary On Duty to pursue PhD for the Staff members.

The institution offers monetary incentives for publishing research articles in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals.

Seed funding will be provided for faculty and students who develop a proof of concept for their research projects.

Faculty members are eligible for financial incentives from the management for research grants received from national and international funding agencies.

The institution provides partial financial support for registration and travel expenses for faculty participating in conferences, workshops, seminars, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Short Term Training Programs (STTPs), and other professional development activities, both nationally and internationally.

Support is provided for filing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) applications, including patents, trademarks, or copyrights, when deemed necessary to protect the value of research outcomes.

The institution provides infrastructure, resources, and seed funding to support product development by faculty and students.

Sponsorship is available for additional research initiatives proposed by faculty or students.

Faculty members are encouraged to undertake consultancy projects for industries, with necessary facilities and incentives provided by the management.

Collaborations

The institution actively promotes research collaborations with academic institutions, industries, and research organizations to enhance knowledge sharing and innovation.

Promotions

All the Faculty members are encouraged to actively pursue research in Science, Engineering, and Technology.

Faculty are expected to publish a minimum of one research article annually in Web of Science (SCI/SCIE)-indexed journals.

Faculty with a master's degree are permitted to enroll in part-time Ph.D. programs at Anna University or other recognized universities.

Each department will have a designated Research Coordinator responsible for applying for at least two funded research projects per semester to various funding agencies.

All faculty members are required to submit at least one seminar or workshop proposal annually.

Faculty members are encouraged to present their work at conferences organized by IEEE, Springer, or other Scopus-indexed venues, and to publish in SCI/SCIE, Scopus, or UGC Care-listed journals.

Faculty are encouraged to take-up certification courses through NPTEL in the area of Innovation, Product Development, Entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

Faculty members are expected to inspire students to participate in hackathons and focus on innovative product development.

Undergraduate and postgraduate projects should prioritize innovative product development and industry collaboration, with results published in conferences or journals.
